Events! Providence tonight, New Haven 4/2

Kingston 4/8 but, sorry, I'll send another reminder

I’m in book-event mode all over again, which means impulse-buying makeup and trying fruitlessly to get my hair to hold a wave. Oh also, intellectual stuff. Reading and speaking and aliens. That too!

So just a couple of reminders, with pretty images to go with them:

TONIGHT Wednesday 3/19, I’ll be at Riffraff in Providence, in conversation with Elisa Gabbert. You mean the brilliant essayist and poet Elisa Gabbert?? Yes, somehow, I do. Here is a poem of hers that I love.

And then, as promised, I’ve got details for my talk at Yale on April 2. It’ll be at 4pm, HQ L01 (which I assume means something in the building? maybe that 0 is an O?), at 320 York St in New Haven. Pretty damn tickled by the poster for that, which makes me feel like an astronaut:

By way of a teaser, know that it starts with this, the JWST Deep Field:

distant galaxies appear as bright glowing spots in this Webb telescope image, with some smeared by gravitational lensing; foreground stars appear bright with six-pointed diffraction spikes, owing to the shape of Webb's mirrors

And then, in Kingston, I’ll be reading at Rough Draft at 6pm on April 8th, part of the Night School reading series. I will remind you about that when it’s closer, sorry/you’re welcome!

To close, here’s an image that’ll come near the end of my Yale talk, a bit of space that has nothing to do with us, which I love.
